Brenda, I do knit my socks one at a time. I have tried the two at a time method but I can knit them faster one at a time. I find there is less manipulating of the needles working on DPs in the round. I just keep a row clicker with me and make notes on the pattern so I can make the second sock identical. I know everyone has a favorite method but this is mine.
Thanks for your kind comments. I wore these today and they are warm and oh-so-soft.
You beat me, Bonnie. I still have Hedgerow Sock #2 on my needles but have also been busy with a home school co-op and preparing a painting for a museum show. I am determined to finish this weekend. Meanwhile enjoy your socks. The colors are so vibrant together. Nice choice and nice work! :)
Gosh you are fast ! Mine are where they were on Monday, but I have been working all week :(. Your socks look great :) And perfect timing with all your new snow.
I knit, garden, bake, and sew. I create something every day, even if it's just a mess in my kitchen.
“I don't want to drive up to the pearly gates in a shiny sports car, wearing beautifully, tailored clothes, my hair expertly coiffed, and with long, perfectly manicured fingernails. I want to drive up in a station wagon that has mud on the wheels from taking kids to scout camp. I want to be there with a smudge of peanut butter on my shirt from making sandwiches for a sick neighbors children. I want to be there with a little dirt under my fingernails from helping to weed someone's garden. I want to be there with children's sticky kisses on my cheeks and the tears of a friend on my shoulder. I want the Lord to know I was really here and that I really lived.” ― Marjorie Pay Hinckley
Oh how wonderful they look! I have a couple of friends that would fight for those because they love purple. Do you knit just one at a time?
ReplyDeleteOh, I can see why you love the yarn, Bonnie! They are so pretty. Way to go!
