Presenting Miss Fox...knitted from the newly released Little Cotton Rabbits pattern. The yarn for her body is from The Wool Cabin...Encore in DK weight. They ship.
Isn't her tail cute? I sewed her arms on in the dark last night.
I started my own version of Julie's Fox before she came out with a pattern to buy. Here's my version in MadelineTosh yarn with her silk green dress on the right. I had fun making up a dress with a lace bottom but got mired down in making her head. I am so happy that Julie sells her pattern. Now the headless fox can be completed.
It's a blustery day today and it's supposed to rain again.
What's a woman to do but .....knit some more!
She just need a button sewn on her tulip dress and she's ready to go.

That is the cutest thing I have seen in a long, long time. :) I have missed peaking in on your blog and am enthused to catch up. I hope you have had a good summer!
ReplyDeleteMiss Fox is beautiful! I hope that her friend is soon finished and then they can sit together and look very cute. Love the tulip dress, very spring like. Enjoy your knitting whilst hiding from the rain.
ReplyDeleteSimply adorable! When Fidget sees this she'll want one for sure- or two to make a little couple, then she'll need a baby fox kit...and I bet I could do them all in time for Christmas! Good work Bonnie. Thanks for the inspiration!
ReplyDeleteShe's adorable! You're making me really want to knit but I MUST do some cleaning this weekend before we're condemned LOL. Have fun knitting in the rain -- sounds like heaven to me!
ReplyDeleteHi Bonnie! It's raining so much here that they canceled school! The police are so worried about people driving in the flooded areas. So, should I do a bit of knitting? I have a book of teddy bear patterns that I think I could figure out, and I DO like to knit Alan Dart mice. Your fox made me smile and smile. You're so good!
ReplyDeleteYes Bonnie, all it ever seems to do is rain even here in the high desert. It has begun to smell moist like back east. My husband took off for a walk yesterday and it was nice, but while he was gone it was hailing. I called to see if he was okay. You never cease to amaze with all your varied handicrafts. The fox is super cute. What is the green next to the fox on the left? Love her blue undergarments and shoes, and her sweet skirt. Joni
ReplyDeleteHi Joni. Thr green is a headless armless fox and her green silk dress. I need to finish her head ;)
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh are those ever cute. The fox I'm head over heels in love with.
ReplyDeleteOh I like your fox....and the headless fox too. The tail is especially cute.
