Remember this lonely sock? It now has a mate and they are on my toasty warm feet as I write.
I have definitely come to the conclusion that everyone needs warm, wool, hand knit socks. Well, at least everyone I love and that includes those persons who think that they don't need hand knit socks. You know...the ones who say, "Why knit socks when you can buy perfectly good ones at a store?" B, the next pair are for you. You haven't lived properly until you have a pair of hand knit wool socks on your freezing winter feet.
First we had 2 feet of snow, then freezing rain, and today it's fog; so glad I finished my other sock. The fog got much worse as the day wore on. Here's hoping for a storm to clear out the fog (did I really just say that?).

My feet are very cold just now. We were out working sheep all morning. Handknit wool socks sound lovely to me! We're expecting snow and cold or freezing ice in the next few days. Maybe we'll get some of your stuff. We need it.

ReplyDeleteHooray for hand knit socks! Your socks are beautiful -- I love the color. I'm sorry to hear about your Dad and neighbor. I hope your Dad is doing ok now. Watching my parents with their health issues has been the hardest thing I've ever had to do. Fortunately we have our knitting to help us through!
ReplyDeleteThis has been a strange year as far as the fog goes...we have had a lot as well. We have been lucky with the snow amounts...only about 6" each storm. More on the way this afternoon. Your socks have to be so nice and warm...I'm sure each lucky recipient loves them.

two single pointed needles. I love fog! I grew up in Rhode Island, Rocky Point,
along the coast and we had a lot of fog and I miss it. I am enjoying your pictures
