Spring weather makes me think of fresh, clean laundry hanging on the clothesline in the sun. Which reminded me that I had been wanting to make a clothespin bag for some time.
So I did.
I love this pattern by Hemma. It even has a back pocket to hold a clean cloth so that you can wipe down the clothesline before hanging your clothes. Love that!!!
The biggest problem was trying to find the small (10 inch) wooden hanger to put inside the bag. I live in a large metropolitan city so you'd think it would be easy to find a baby hanger. I found one on-line but I just needed one hanger... not 25, which was the minimum order. Next time I'll get the hanger first and adjust the bag size accordingly.Guess where I finally found the baby hanger? In my own closet. Seeing as my "baby" is twenty years old, I guess I need to do some spring cleaning as well.

I love the clothes pin bag and I am a HUGE fan of clothes lines. A matter of fact when buying this house I live in 23 years ago one of the priorities was I could have a clothes line. Some HOA's do not allow clothes lines, imagine..

ReplyDeleteYour new pin bag is adorable Bonnie! My baby is a little older than yours -- I don't think I have any baby hangers anymore, but I probably need to do some cleaning too!
ReplyDeleteVery cute! My clothespin holder is a recycled gallon bleach bottle, not so pretty but does the job! I leave it out on the line all the line drying season! I love, love, love, line dried sheets!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute clothespin bag. It's a sweet reminder of helping my grandmother hang out clothes on the clothesline.

I love this fabric and pattern! It's like a beautiful, cheery sunflower! I hope you have it hanging in a highly visible spot:) I think I might quit using my dryer just to hang my clothes up and use this clothespin bag.
ReplyDeleteThis is super cute!!!! Could you share the source of the pattern? I love the scallops. You did a lovely job.
