Sweet Little Things

I have been making some "sweet little things".  For no reason at all except that they are so cute.  I like to knit little projects that just jump off my needles, and these are perfect for the gift box or maybe the "hope chest".  (Not for me, mind you).  They are also great stash busters.  I got two pair of these dainty Mary Jane baby shoes from one skein of DK silk/wool blend that I picked up from the sale table.
What do you think; with or without the flowers?

You can find the pattern here.

A note to all of my friends who follow me on Google:  In the near future, if you don't have a blog or your blog is not administered through Blogger, you won't be able to follow through Google any more.  If you blog through WordPress, Tumblr, Typad, or don't blog at all, click on the Follow Me button on my sidebar to continue to recieve my posts.  I'd hate to lose you.

Thanks for visiting,
Bonnie

  1. We always tease you when you make things and say "they're for the grandkids." Well mom, I'll let you say that this time because even though you don't have any grandkids these are adorable and I'll let you save them for my future kids!

  2. I love these little booties! Thanks for the link to the shop. Though they are sweet with the flowers somehow I think I prefer them unadorned. They don't need embellishment.

  4. Oh Bonnie they are beautiful ! I like them with the flower. I had a wonderful friend [ she died ] who taught me when in doubt add more color. I do this now and it always seems to work, plus I put a little of Cindy in my projects.

  9. Super cute booties! I love the flowers on them.
I'll have to buy a pair from you if we ever have little grands.
I'm certain that we won't have any grands any time soon.

Hope that things calm down for you soon, and that you're able to come 'home' for a bit.
