Off the needles...finally!

Church mouse yarns and teas Wee ones Baby Wrap sweater

I liked this quick knit, and I would categorize it as EASY.  I changed up the yarns a bit.  I used Koigu variegated yarn and Blue Sky Alpaca yarn and turned it "inside out" so the stripey look was integrated and less stripey.  I also used the pink Blue Sky yarn for the tie and ruffle.  I didn't like the bulk of the tie going all the baby around baby's back so I added a snap to the underside to hold the left side wrap down and just added the tie to the one side.

It was a bit boring knitting all the garter stitch ridges but I now have another project for the "hope chest".

  2. Good Morning, I like your sweater the way that you made it. Sometimes our projects take longer then we would like, but we eventually get it done. I have enjoyed catching up with you this morning. It has been hit and miss this morning. Summer has gone so very fast. I would like the the temperatures to stay. We were in the 60's this morning. Take care. Hugs and Prayers from Your Missouri friend.

  3. YAY for the Baby Hope Chest. Well, unless, like my Aunt, after mostly girls is inundated with boys LOL! Boys can wear pink and ruffles LOL! It's adorable. I need to get to work on my baby hope chest too -- although, I'm afraid to hope for a girl -- I wouldn't know how to handle myself!!!

  5. Hi Bonnie, I have been enjoying your posts and have explored many, many older posts. Love your knitting, especially the rabbits! The Swedish braided rug has really fascinated me. It looks as if you have prepared your strips by folding raw edges inside for a neater look. Are the folded strips 1" after pressing? Thanks for sharing your activities and talents with us!
