If you are a frequent visitor here, you'll absolutely know how much I love Julie Williams' Little Cotton Rabbits knitting patterns. I've knitted a few OK...a lot of them before. This may or may not be the 22nd animal I've knitted. But who's counting...don't judge me. As cute as these are, there must be others who have the same obsession.
I love the little tail; and the sweater; and his little short trousers; oh, and did I mention how much I love his curly little trunk. Yes, I love everything about him!
I immediately bought her newest patterns and made up the boy. He's so darn cute!!! I'm working on the girl elephant too. Check out Julie's patterns. They are intensive, easy to follow, and well written.
Here he is in his "birthday suit".

Oh yes! I saw your pin on Pinterest! I love it! I need that pattern. Go, Bonnie, go! You're inspiring!
ReplyDeleteSooooo, when is the next class? Could you do a fox and elephant class so we could learn how to knit both? I'm ready for either or both! Jill
ReplyDeleteJill, Wool Cabin might be offering a class on the elephant soon. Check in with them for details. It's still in the planning.
ReplyDeleteBonnie, he is so cute. On FB I didn't get to see his backside :). I always did love the Babar books, and he sort of reminds me of Babar. The little sweater just is so darling. Joni
ReplyDeleteHmmm....methinks maybe my previous comment was lost? (If so, delete this one LOL.) Your little elephant is adorable! And that tail would make anyone swoon!!! You're a knitting machine -- keep up the good work!
ReplyDeleteHow handsome! I think I ought to take a class with you. Made a bear that was huge but was going to be felted. I did not look right after felted so it is in the trash in my quilt room. Don't think I will ever knit an animal and then felt it... :-)
ReplyDeleteHi there, just catching up. He really is a cutie isn't he, I can quite see why you are so smitten with the bunnies and elephants and so on! Hope that you have a good week. xx
ReplyDeleteEvery single critter you knit is adorable, and you've made quite a menagerie! Your future grandchildren are very lucky!
ReplyDeletepretty nice blog, following :)
ReplyDeleteDo you or anyone else you know knit these to sell?
ReplyDeleteI too love to knit them. your little elephant is darling... The tail is the real charmer!!! I don't have the elephant pattern but have knit lots of girl and boy bunnies. Love your little guy's sweater. Looks like an aran sweater. I must look to see if that sweater is in my pattern packet..
