Freezing Rain and Ink socks (what else is a woman to do?)

I have never seen freezing rain like this that I can remember.  We just don't get this where we live.  Snow, rain, sleet, but never can I remember freezing rain.

This is the car.
We have a steep driveway and it's an ice sheet.  I am not going anywhere soon.  I just hope my family can get home tonight.

The airport runways are shut down and there is no end to the cold today.  Hopefully it will warm up soon.

I am just sitting and knitting (maybe in front of a heater).  I cast on for the second Tosh Ink sock.  What else am I going to do today (let's not think about housecleaning shall we)?

  1. Freezing rain is the worst! We are suppose to get sleet, freezing rain and then snow starting tonight into tomorrow. Stay warm!

  2. Wow! The sock yarn (and the socks!) are lovely! Be very careful. I'm glad you are staying home, Bonnie.

  3. Wow, now that's some ICE! Yikes! No to house cleaning, yes to knitting ink socks! It sounds much more fun on a winter's day.
