I've had quite a few requests to show some photos from the Heritage Day home tour.  Since we were so busy, no one took any photos of the house on the actual tour.  We have many photos of the house so I'll put up a few each day to give you a virtual glimpse of our homestead.
This is the front of the house.  It was built about 1865 from local Oolitic limestone for Orson and Mary Ann Hyde.  It's a 2 1/2 story hall-parlor Greek Revival vernacular with a porch added about 1920 or so.  We built the fence after a photo taken in 1909.  The original fence was about a foot taller to keep  the animals in (or maybe out).
More photos to come.
