Woo HOO!!!!!

It's snowing...hard.  The steady snow is more like a drizzle and you can't see it in this photo;  no big, fluffy flakes here.  I took this out the back window earlier but now we have about 5 inches on the ground and it's still coming down.  There is a lot of heavy water in this storm, and we need it badly.

The Sundance Film Festival started this weekend and the canyon is closed to all traffic.  There are some disappointed visitors and locals alike I'm afraid.  But the Outdoor Retail Convention is here for their annual show so they are probably thrilled.

We had a rather treacherous commute back to the city this afternoon on snow packed, unplowed, mountain and canyon roads.  Thanks goodness Mr. CH had new tires put on the car last weekend.  It was indeed a blessing to arrive home safely.  I don't mind the snow when it's cozy and warm inside.  I think I'll get out my knitting.

  1. I'm so glad you're getting the much-needed moisture/snow. We are about to have another snowfall tonight to add to our previous 5". It did warm up though, which is nice.

    Happy Knitting!

  3. Sounds like you had a day like we did. Our storm is gone now and it was a beautiful, sunny day. The problem is that we'll be in the 40's for the next two days + rain. Bye bye beautiful snow. I hope it stays cold there and that you get more snow!
