KuKu Doll

I love these little KuKu dolls, but I must admit that I haven't always.  At first I thought them a bit odd, but they definitely have grown on me.  The kit includes all of the supplies you need to make one doll, with the exception of knitting needles,a yarn needle and a felting needle.  Yep, these dolls are felted.  You knit them and then felt them.   Before felting, my Zoe doll was about 12 inches long.
After felting, she was 8 1/2 inches long.
I ran mine through the washer 3 times because I wanted her small and plump.  And she is...plump.
Purchasing this doll kit also helps a worthy cause.  The owners of KuKu dolls donate a portion of their sales to Connect Africa.  You can see other kits for the KuKu dolls here.  You can also purchase the kits from the Wool Cabin, which is where I got mine.

This was a really quick knit.  I'd like to make another, it was fun.
