Gratitude

Amidst all the decorating, cooking, baking and shopping I am reminded that Thanksgiving (my favorite holiday) is really all about being grateful and giving thanks for our blessings.  I have so many.

First...
  • My family;  B. who is a wonderful, kind and loving husband and father;  4 strong, intelligent, beautiful daughters ( now my friends as well as my children).  Happy Thanksgiving Birthday to my 4th Daughter Dear.  I'm have goodly parents and 4 supportive siblings and  in-laws who are always there to help and uplift me.

  • So many Good Friends; (my art "sisters") who can be relied on for "an adventure" and a good time is "always had by all".  My knitting, quilting, and blogging friends (I know some of you are "virtual" but you mean a lot to me).  You always inspire me.

  • And as I sit at my computer waiting for the "Blizzard, the likes of which we haven't seen for many years" according to the news reports, I am very grateful for a warm home, food, and the basic comforts of life.  I am mindful that there are many who are without those things.  I have a loving Heavenly Father and I am so grateful for his many blessings.

Wishing you and yours a safe and peaceful Happy Thanksgiving!

  2. What a sweet post. I'm hoping the blizzard doesn't knock out the power again like Sunday and we stay warm and toast in our wonderful homes! Have a great weekend.

  5. Quite the "blizzard", eh. ;)
Some complain that it wasn't a bit deal, but we were happy to get home and stay home when it did hit here.
