Not sure what that says about me ;).
♥
G
Oh, and yes to yogurt with honey. Yum! Sometimes I like to drizzle in a little vanilla too.Gigihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14709314864693421679noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3399409475327068262.post-77337548863166837962012-04-23T07:13:56.409-06:002012-04-23T07:13:56.409-06:00How fun! I've only tried it once and it was REALLY thick and tasted like sour cream. Everyone raves about it though, so I'm thinking I'm missing something!Thimbleannahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03650582809426872051noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3399409475327068262.post-72053081661788473072012-04-21T10:07:48.205-06:002012-04-21T10:07:48.205-06:00Bonnie, years ago (probably the 80's), I had a...Bonnie, years ago (probably the 80's), I had a yogurt maker with little individual jars. I don't know what happened to it through so many moves. I checked out the recipe link you provided. Do you think you could reconstitute your home storage dry milk for this? I know the recipe calls for 1/2 dried milk, but I would sure like to use my expensive Country Cream dried milk more. My mom and oldest sister used to eat plain yogurt when I was a child, which I did not like, but if I added honey/fruit that would be much better!Suehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06072961274277978490noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3399409475327068262.post-54838370974181182012-04-20T08:12:32.227-06:002012-04-20T08:12:32.227-06:00I love adding a swirl of honey.

There are just two of us at home most of the time so I like the small individual jars, but it is a disadvantage when pouring off the liquid. You definitely get a thicker product.Bonniehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11159582653513181811noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3399409475327068262.post-57389164076673896372012-04-20T06:58:51.338-06:002012-04-20T06:58:51.338-06:00Bonnie, I've been making yogurt for some years...Bonnie, I've been making yogurt for some years (on and off). I sometimes get frustrated with the "weak" texture....not as thick as the store-bought kind. I am going to try making Greek yogurt which is basically strained yogurt, taking the liquid whey off to make it thicker. The thing is is that you end up with less yogurt when you strain it. Ever tried the Greek stuff?

JodyGumbo Lilyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02747138637571716591noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3399409475327068262.post-50368435488385104402012-04-19T22:16:27.754-06:002012-04-19T22:16:27.754-06:00I've been wanting to try making it at home too...I've been wanting to try making it at home too. Maybe I should try making my own.Pom Pomhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01524994024698986829noreply@blogger.com
